Southern songstress Jessica Simpson is finally pregnant. The 31-year-old says she is enjoying her pregnancy and is letting us know all about her path to motherhood.

After keeping her pregnancy (with fiancé ex-NFL star Eric Johnson) secret for several months, Simpson is now ready to tell fans all about it. No shrinking violet here; "Right now I feel empowered and sexy. I'm really loving having life inside of me and I'm doing cheesy things," Simpson recently shared.

The "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" star shares that "I'm bigger than I've ever been," but she isn't letting it get her down. "I want to show off my bump!" And Simpson did, indeed, announcing her pregnancy to her fans on Halloween with a photo showing her dressed as a figure-hugging mummy and captioned, "It's True! I am going to be a mummy!"
Although Jessica and fiancé Johnson originally planned to "throw something together" as a wedding, the singer has now decided "I'd rather put more time in it and be able to really enjoy the day," she said recently. In Jessica's typical candid style, she elaborated: "When you're pregnant, your hormones go crazy. I don't want to be super stressed out and end up being a bridezilla! So, I'll wait until after."

Jessica Simpson: not pregnent

Jessica Simpson,29,who has just started dating former NFL star is Eric Johnson  is “excited” about becoming a mom.

But she has spoken out to set the record straight, insisting talk of a pregnancy is “absurd”.

Meanwhile, She divorced Nick Lachey in July 2006 and endured a spate of failed romances with John Mayer, Tony Romo and Billy Corgan turns 30 this weekends and admits she thought she’d be married with a baby by now.

“I thought I had it figured out; I’m going to be this great pop star, be married, have babies,” she has said

“But things can be taken from you.”

Meanwhile, former footballer Eric,who split from his wife earlier this year and filed for divorce in February  has been described as “smart” and “down-to-earth”,NFL insiders.

“He’s one of the nicest guys around,” an NFL insider, who has worked with the ex-San Francisco 49ers player, told People magazine.

“I’m surprised he is dating her. She is such a big star and he is so reserved.“He is very smart and he is one of the most down-to-earth athletes I know.He is the polar opposite of what you think of when you say ‘player’.

When I met him, he was driving a Prius when other athletes were driving gas-guzzling cars.”

In the latest salvo in the great photo-retouching debate rippling through fashion magazines across the globe, Jessica Simpson has taken a decidedly a natural stand.

Celebrity songstress, Jessica appears wearing no makeup and air-dried hair in multiple photographs in the May edition of Marie Claire magazine.
And if people don’t like the way she looks in the pictures, well, she doesn’t give a hoot.

“I don’t have anything to prove anymore,” jessica told the magazine. “What other people think of me is not my business.”
