Jennifer Lopez :: No. 1 on Forbes' Celebrity 100 list

It used to be enough for a celebrity to act or sing or swing a bat really well. Now for a celeb to be considered a real success he or she needs sell clothes, hawk fragrances, and even invest in technology startups. While she hasn't stormed Silicon Valley just yet, Jennifer Lopez is a state-of-the-art celebrity success story. With $52 million in earnings over the last 12 months and a massive amount of fame, Lopez lands at No. 1 on Forbes' Celebrity 100 list for the first time.

A few years ago it looked like Lopez was done. Her albums, like the all-Spanish Como Ama una Mujer, failed to find the broad audience she once enjoyed. Her movies, like "El Cantante," flopped.
Then in 2010 the singer landed a judge's chair on "American Idol." The job gave her a platform to promote her music and turn her image around. It didn't hurt that she also split from her husband, Marc Anthony. Suddenly a single mother, Lopez lapped up the media attention and scored lucrative endorsement deals with companies like L'Oreal and Gillette. She now has a line of clothing at Kohl's, a top-selling fragrance, and she was able to secure a nice bump — to $20 million — on her "Idol" salary for a second season. With 6.6 million followers on Twitter and 12 million fans on Facebook, she's also proved a master of social media.

Jennifer Lopez :: Same dress

 This spring is all about candy-colored fashion. And nobody seems to love the bright look more than Jennifer Lopez. Twice this week the singer's stepped out in neon shades. There was the hot-pink, long-sleeve Michael Kors dress with sexy thigh slit that popped on American Idol. And then a bright green Michael Kors mini worn with flashy pink Casadei pumps to promote Q'Viva: The Chosen in Brazil. But, of course, she's not the only one who stands out (with help from her stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn) in brightly colored clothing. From Katy Perry and Elizabeth Banks to Vanessa Hudgens and Gwyneth Paltrow, we've rounded up the stars whose style goes pop in a special spring fashion photo gallery!

Jennifer Lopez ::Boyfriend Casper Smart Is a ‘Good Egg’

Superstar Jennifer Lopez could have taken her love life in a few different directions. She could have played the field, could have sworn off men for a few years, and could have even reconciled with Anthony, the father of her twin 4-year-olds (though he was a partner many thought was a mismatch from the start). Instead the 42-year-old pop singer, movie actress, and reality show judge jumped right back into a monogamous relationship, and has had the public enthralled ever since thanks to the fact the guy, a backup dancer named Casper Smart, is just 24 years old. (Would a man in his 40s have caused this kind of frenzy if he dated a woman 18 years his junior?
Of course not. It's a double standard for sure, but we can debate sexism another time.) Since getting together with the very tattooed Smart a few months ago, the couple has been spotted everywhere together — from the "American Idol" set to Carnival in Brazil to a fashion shoot in Miami — but Lopez has stayed mostly mum on the subject of her new love. In the April issue of Vogue, however, she gives us a little insight into why she's so smitten. "He's adorable. But you already see that," she tells the reporter. When he mentions that Smart seems very loving and sweet, she agrees. "He is. He really is. He's a good egg. I don't want to talk about it too much. It's my private thing."

According to the writer, who got a peek at the two of them together recently, Lopez seems quite happy around her new main squeeze and the couple can't keep their hands off each other. The mom of two, it seems, has no problem relating to a younger man: "I don't feel older, and I don't feel like I look it, either, so I am just acting the same way I have always acted," she admits.

Jennifer Lopez :: Oscar Malfunctions

Actress Jennifer Lopez's  nearly stole the show at the 84th Annual Academy Awards while presenting with Cameron Diaz, 39  or did it? Wearing a cleavage-baring Zuhair Murad gown, many wondered if the American Idol judge, 42, had an accidental slip while co-presenting the Oscars for Best Costume Design and Best Makeup.

Lopez's stylist Mariel Haenn denied Lopez gave an inadvertent peep show during the telecast, tweeting: "The dress fit perfectly to her every inch. There were cups built in and there's no chance that there were any, how do you say? 'slips.'"
Added Haenn: "While the dress did give the illusion of sheer-ness, joke's on everyone who wishes they saw something! If you thought that dress was hot wait until you see what's next."

 The "On the Floor" singer changed into another daring look by Zuhair Murad for the Vanity Fair Oscar party at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, Calif. Lopez accessorized her plunging sequined gown with H Stern jewels and a Swarovski bag.

Jennifer Lopez :: Shocked

Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest or "the men of 'American Idol'" visited "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and told the host about Jennifer Lopez's recent shock.
"We flew back from Vegas last night, we were shooting an episode there of 'Idol,'" Seacrest recalled. "At the end of a final performance from a contestant, I heard this scream from Jennifer Lopez and I looked up and she was standing over the Le RĂªve pool. It's a water show, so she's standing over the edge and screaming, looking down at a naked body in the water!"

The "naked body" was revealed to be fellow "Idol" host, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, who was mimicking the underwater dancers in "Le RĂªve - The Dream," which is the in-house show at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort. "Hey, I'm from Boston!" Tyler said. "Well, I sat at La RĂªve all week and I just thought, I've watched the show all week and I'm a water guy and... I just wanted a good excuse to take my clothes off in front of J.Lo. I wanted her to see what she was missing." "When Jennifer announced that she was single, strange things started happening on the set," Jackson joked. "The thing is, she flirts with me more and I say, 'I get it, but not here.'" "I live to try to make her blush," Tyler added. Lopez and her husband of seven years Marc Anthony announced in July that they were breaking up, but they did not specify a reason for the split. The two married in June 2004 and their twin son and daughter, Max and Emme, were born in February 2008. The former couple's new reality talent show, "Q'Viva: The Chosen" is set to premiere on January 28 on Univision.
An English version of the show is set to air on Fox later this year. Lopez is reportedly dating Casper Smart, a 24-year-old back up dancer who performed with her at the American Music Awards. Lopez is not breaking Tyler's hear though, as the 63-year-old singer revealed earlier in the month that he was engaged to his girlfriend Erin Brady, 38. The two have been dating for five years. The 11th season of the hit singing contest series premiered last week. Pre-taped, preliminary tryouts are being shown ahead of the live shows, which will air in several weeks. The finalists have already been chosen but have not been revealed. The first episode of the current season of "American Idol" was watched by 21.6 million viewers and earned a 7.2 rating among adults aged 18 to 49, marking the lowest ratings given for an "American Idol" premiere since its debut episode in 2002. Last Sunday's special episode, which aired after the NFL's NFC Championship game, earned a 7.9 rating and was watched by 19.8 million viewers. Jennifer lopez :: Thanks Giving Day celebration

Beautiful Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are heating up fast.The pair spent Thanksgiving together in Kauai, Hawaii, Us Weekly can confirm. Lopez brought her 3-year-old twins Max and Emme, who joined the lovebirds for an afternoon trip to the beach.

"Casper was great with the kids. He was twirling them around and doing flips with Emme and she seemed very comfortable with him," a source tells Us. "Jennifer got a chance to sit back and relax while Casper took over and played." According to Radar Online, Smart met several of Lopez's family members during the trip.

Lopez, 42, has tried to downplay her romance with the 24-year-old backup dancer, telling Ryan Seacrest: "Until I'm in a really serious relationship -- because of the babies -- I'm not really gonna be commenting on my personal life."
the American Idol host is reluctant to talk about her love life, she isn't afraid to show it. After performing at the American Music Awards on Sunday, a source witnessed Lopez "grinding in Smart's lap, giving him a kiss and rubbing his head" at Greystone Manor in West Hollywood.

Jennifer Lopez ::Animated series "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?"

J.lo is lined up to produce and possibly star in a big screen live-action version of the famous video game-turned-animated series "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?," according to Deadline. If she does star in the feature,
 she would play the title character - one of the world's greatest detectives who becomes the world's greatest thief. It's then up to her ex-partner to uncover if she's really gone bad. This wouldn't be the first time "Carmen Sandiego" was picked up as a movie. In the late '90s, Disney tried to develop a version starring Sandra Bullock, but it never materialized, according to Deadline.

 She is recently wrapped production on the film.

"What to Expect When You're Expecting," co-starring Cameron Diaz. She will resume her judging duties on the 11th season of "American Idol" when the show returns in January. The official announcement of her return was confirmed back in August by FOX.

Jennifer Lopez :: New track "Mouth 2 Mouth."

Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez are getting muy caliente on their new track "Mouth 2 Mouth." The two take their passion to the dance floor with the DJ Frank E-produced track. The song is all about desire as both Iglesias and Lopez trade sultry lines over shiny synths and pumping beats. The passion on the swirling party track never subsides. "She called me up late at night/ We called an innocent crime/ She's such a good waste of time/ But in the back of my mind/ You know you're all I'm thinking of," Iglesias sings on the track.

 "I can't catch a single breath, baby/ Help me now, help me now," the duo sings on the chorus. "Hurry up it's killing me the way I need your mouth to mouth, mouth to mouth." They go on to sing, "I swear you make me feel alive/ I swear you bring me back to life." Lopez's lyrics evoke the guilt of wanting someone so intensely. "Kills me to let him inside/ Feels like the wrong kind of right/ He falls asleep by my side/ But in the back of my mind/ You know you're all I'm thinking of." The song will appear on Iglesias' reissue album Euphoria Reloaded. The original Euphoria dropped in the summer of 2010, spawning hits like "I Like It,"

Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" and "Dirty Dancer." It is collabo-friendly thanks to contributions from the likes of Akon, Usher, Nicole Scherzinger, Ludacris and Pitbull and spawned a comeback for the singer thanks to its dance tracks produced by buzzy producers like RedOne and Fernando Garibay, who are both closely associated with Lady Gaga. "This is the album I always wanted to make,"

 Iglesias told MTV News last year about Euphoria. "I grew up in Miami speaking Spanglish. I'm so excited about this album. You see so much Hispanic influence everywhere. I wanted to combine both of them." "The album's cool. It's very eclectic. Every single song is completely different," he added.

Jennifer Lopez :: Problems with Scientology view

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony split after failing to "see eye-to-eye" on Scientology.

The On The Floor hitmaker - who called time on her seven-year marriage to the singer last month - was reportedly hoping to send the couple's three-year-old twins Max and Emme to a specialist Scientology school, however Marc wasn't so keen on the idea.

A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "Jennifer and Marc couldn't see eye-to-eye on the subject. She's always been more into the church than him. He wasn't a huge fan and it caused problems."

The 42-year-old star recently admitted she wished people wouldn't judge the Scientology religion - also followed by Jennifer's close friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes - before they know what it is.

She said: "I just wish that people wouldn't judge it without knowing what it is."

Despite the couple's shock split, Jennifer claimed she will remain an "eternal optimist", and is still confident about finding love again.

She recently explained: "This was the hardest decision I've ever had to face. I really wanted this family to work. That was my biggest dream, and I worked hard at it. We both did. Sometimes it doesn't work - and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love...It's still my biggest dream."

Jennifer Lopez :: not to focus on being a role model

Actress n Singer Jennifer Lopez last week announced her split from husband of seven years Marc Anthony, is widely admired for juggling a successful career with being mom to three-year-old twins Max and Emme.
Jennifer doesn’t worry about her role model status though, as she isn’t interested in putting extra pressure on herself.
“A long time ago, I realised I would never put responsibility on my shoulders. I think that’s too heavy to think, oh my God, everybody is watching what I’m doing,” she told the British edition of OK! magazine.
Jennifer knows the main people she needs to worry about are herself and her family. The celebrity remarked that stars in the past who tried to live up to society’s expectations often faltered.
“It’s just about making myself proud first, doing things that I know are right, living the best way that I can. If other people are inspired by that then I always saw that as icing on the cake. It’s been very destructive for some people to put that amount of pressure on themselves,” she added.

Jennifer lopez :: Hates gym

The singer and American Idol judge — who raises twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony – admits she used to get away with little or no exercise in the past, but now has to put the work in to achieve the results she wants.

“I do have to work at it just like every other girl in the world, especially after the babies you know,” she said.

“Things have kind of changed for me, I was spoiled before, I love to work out, I was always very athletic, but I didn’t have to and now I kind of have to. Which sucks.

“You know, at the end of the day, the babies are the light of my life, and the most important thing to me is my family. They come first and then everything else kind of comes after. So long as they’re healthy and happy I feel like I’m doing a good job as a person.”

Lopez recently dismissed critics who claim that she is not a good singer, because she has finally come into her own and let go of doubts she had about her shortcomings.

“I’m very proud of who I am as a vocalist from where I started,” she said. “The voice was always there, I was just so insecure about it in the beginning.”

Lopez also credited husband Anthony with helping her to let go of her hang-ups about her musical talent and encouraging her as she recorded her upcoming album.

“Marc helped me so much because he was the one who was like, ‘You have a beautiful voice,’” she recalled.

“I think people are gonna be surprised with some of the vocals on this album. There’s even songs on this album that when he heard the demo, he was like, ‘You’re gonna sing that?’ When he heard my version, he was like, ‘Wow.’ Tears in his eyes. ‘I’m so proud of you.’”
