Heidi Klum has broken her silence in an interview with Elle magazine confessing the fall-out from her shock break-up with Seal has been an emotional "tornado". "I feel like I'm in the eye of the tornado. It's emotions inside of your body that are a tornado. And then the outside world doing all this craziness - with you wanting it or not wanting it (sic) - is another tornado. "I don't want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we're in the public, so the highs are out there. But I don't think it's necessary - especially for our children - to have the lows being printed in magazines and talked about." 

 Klum, 38, and Seal, 49, married in Mexico in 2005 after having met the previous year. They announced their split in a joint statement on January 23, saying, "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate." In the following days Seal, whose real name is Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel, appeared on a number of talk shows, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he spoke of his love for his wife and their vow to remain "civil" for the sake of their children. They have three children together - Henry, six, Johan, five, and Lou, two. Seal also adopted Klum's seven-year-old daughter Leni from her previous relationship with Formula One entrepreneur Flavio Briatore.
 Speaking to Elle, the Project Runway host seemed to acknowledge the situation with her ex was tough. "He's going to be 50 next year," she said of Seal. "He's a grown man. I can't tell him what to do and what not to do. It's hard." "I feel like already so many things are being said about us - about him, about me," she added. "I'm not going to comment. Otherwise it makes you angry. You can't always call and say, 'This is not true, but this is true.' "People don't need to know who did what. But I'm a lioness. I have four cubs. I'm a mom. I want to take care of my kids and protect them. I don't want to talk about them, or him, or me."

Heidi Klum :: Sealed Interview

Super Model Heidi Klum talked extensively about the couple's relationship to the magazine. "I have a lot of fun with him," she said. "He’s off the cuff. He’s not fixed in his ways. And he knows how to handle me. It’s always been really passionate between us." She also spoke of their tradition of renewing their vows annually. "I'm determined to mark our wedding every year with a really great party," Klum said. "We all work very hard and time goes by so fast and you can stumble over years without symbolic peaks in your life to remember -- so we create those."

 Klum even spoke of her first time meeting Seal, in the lobby of the Mercer Hotel in SoHo. "We locked eyes and, well, we were immediately attracted to each other. He is a very tall, striking man. Not someone who blends in," she said. "He’d come into the hotel from the gym and he was sweaty and wanted to take a shower. I said, 'No, stay with me. I don’t mind.' And he said, 'No, but I’ll be back.' And he did go to his room. And he did come back. And knowing him now, he was very fast and he’s a man who usually really takes his time. So now, I know he really wanted to come back to me." Klum and Seal split just shy of their seventh wedding anniversary. The two released a statement on Jan. 23 stating, "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart." Shortly after the news broke, Seal told Ellen DeGeneres, "I have no intentions of taking [my ring] off anytime soon." 
Heidi Klum appears to feel the same. She was photographed on Saturday wearing her wedding band as she picked up two of her kids from a class. She recently broke her silence following the split, writing on Twitter, "Hi everyone, I want to thank u for all your support & kind words. Really means so much. Thanks again...to the best fans in the world! xoHeidi."

Heidi Klum :: Jeans RUMOUR

Most people can wear what they like when they take their kids to the park, but since Heidi Klum's main job is to make the universe awe-struck at her brilliant life, she is not. More to the point, those jeans don't even look very safety conscious - they could get caught on the swings, sweep-up stray children or even be smuggling killer seals. They basically shouldn't be allowed. The best celebrity gossip site in the world.

The good news is that this doesn't spell a future trend. Derek Lam had flares on the catwalk for SS 2011 and a few high street chains/celebs followed, but the majority didn't pick up on it - probably because no one really wants to go round with the content of the gutter creeping up the back of their legs like rising damp. To be honest, it actually seems like an insult to compare Klum's jeans to Lam's anyway; those ain't flares they're clown pants. The Victoria's Secret model said in a recent interview she loves experimenting with different fashion styles. 'Fashion is always fun, interesting, new and different. I love to get dressed in unusual things.,' she revealed. 'I'm not scared - when I go on the red carpet, I always wear what my gut tells me, not what people say you should wear in order to be safe. I experiment with clothes - I love clothes.' Her attempt to emulate the classic seventies look didn't go quite as well as that of Jessica Alba, who has also been sporting the trend.

Heidi Klum: Turn off Glamour

Heidi Klum was doing what she does best: seducing the camera.

She wasn't preening sexily in lingerie, as you might expect from a former Victoria's Secret model; nor was she standing in judgment of a couture gown, as befits the host and executive producer of "Project Runway." On this particular day, the TV camera panned in as the German bombshell flailed her arms, stuck out her tongue and, yes, did the Roger Rabbit dance.

In one of this year's strangest career transitions, Klum is shifting from glamorous to goofy.
Klum's new Lifetime series "Seriously Funny Kids," which premieres tonight, is the latest program to elicit candid and hilarious remarks from young kids, following in the footsteps of Bill Cosby ("Kids Say the Darndest Things"), Art Linkletter ("House Party") and Allen Funt ("Candid Camera").

She was silenced doubters and proved her business acumen when she ushered in "Runway" in 2004 (which ran on Bravo before switching to Lifetime in 2009). Now the 37-year-old is trying to further cement her post-modeling persona — and her relationship with the network — with this even more unlikely project.

The weekly series catches Klum using her maternal appeal to mine the honesty of young children. Also incorporated into the show are hidden camera bits, including one that finds the sexy host sporting an unlikely accessory: "slimy boogers."

"We thought it was a no-brainer," said JoAnn Alfano, Lifetime's head of entertainment. "As an ambassador for the network, we love being in business with [Heidi]. And it's a side we don't often see. She's someone mostly known as a supermodel. You don't think of her as being silly, and fun, and effervescent."

Although she's a mother to four children younger than 6, Heidi admitted that her interactions with the kids on the show were more difficult than she expected.

"When you deal with grown-ups, they always kind of know where you want to go when you ask a certain question," she said. "When you're talking to Jay Leno or [David] Letterman, there's this kind of routine about it. You're there to tell a funny story as you try to promote something. But when you do it with kids, it doesn't really work the same way. At all."

Klum insisted that her involvement in "Seriously Funny Kids" doesn't mean a death knell for "Project Runway," which will shoot its ninth season this summer.

"Look, 'Project Runway' isn't going anywhere," she said. "And I don't think if something ends that I have to hurry up and find the next thing. If 'Seriously Funny Kids' would have come to me four years ago, I would have done it then. I just thought it was a good idea."

It's an idea that further broadens her reach beyond the supermodel guise, in the vein of fellow-runway trotter Tyra Banks — who solidified herself as brand with "America's Next Top Model," "The Tyra Banks Show," philanthropic foundations and a production company.

Now she's extracting comical quips from children for "Seriously Funny Kids" — and finding that they really do say the darndest things.

"Yesterday I was talking with a kid and she was like, 'I know you! My mama told me that you sold panties!' " she recalled. "You can't control what your legacy is."
