ESPN sideline reporter,Erin Andrews was in the news for all the wrong reasons when in 2009 a man videotaped her in her hotel room through the peephole. Andrews filed a lawsuit in 2010 against the hotels for giving out her room number to her stalker and against the stalker himself.
Now Reuters is reporting that according to Davidson County Circuit Court records, the suit was originally filed last year and was refiled to make sure the statute of limitations did not run out.
In the suit, Andrews alleges negligence on the part of hotel and infliction of emotional distress against Michael Barrett, the stalker who was sentenced in 2010 to two and a half years in federal prison. Andrews is seeking $6 million in damages from the Nashville Marriott and $4 million in damages from Barrett.
