Heidi Montag became one of the biggest stars in "The Hills"-verse as Lauren Conrad's sometime bestie, sometime nemesis. From episode one of the MTV reality show, Heidi's bad-girl ways ruled, making her a star and tabloid fixture.
Montag has also tried her hand at various other occupations, including singer and fashion designer. She even starred with hubby Spencer Pratt on "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!," doing her best to survive the wilderness, all with the cameras rolling, of course.
On Sunday, Heidi launches the latest phase of her ever-evolving career. On the new VH1 reality show "Famous Food," she is back on reality TV, adding a new job to her résumé: restaurateur. Montag insists she has what it takes to meet the challenge of launching a restaurant in Los Angeles' already bustling food scene.
"I grew up in the restaurant industry; my parents had a restaurant since I was 2 years old," she told MTV News. "There was nothing easy about 'Famous Food.' Really it was very difficult."
Montag isn't the only big personality on the show. It also features famed call girl Ashley Dupre, Three 6 Mafia's DJ Paul and Juicy J, "Bachelor" star Jake Pavelka, "Sopranos" star Vincent Pastore and feisty "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Danielle Staub.
"We have a certain amount of time until we have to open the actual restaurant, and you're individually competing, but you also have to work collectively together as a group," she said. "So it's really hard whenever everyone thinks their opinion is right and they want to do it their way, but you have to agree at the end of the day. So it was a really competitive, cutthroat show."
If you assume that Montag is going to come off just like she did on "The Hills," think again. It seems that she has moved away from her drama-queen days. "I really want to stay away from all of the drama," she said. "And I just try to be like, 'OK, let's open a restaurant.' "

Heidi montag: with spencer again
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt renewed their wedding vows after briefly separating over the summer.
The couple appeared on “The Hills” and “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” and first married in 2008 after eloping. They married again in 2009 for The Hills in California.
The two ran into marriage trouble in 2010, and separated. They reconciled a short time later.
The couple renewed their vows at a beach house in Carpenteria, California.
"This is like our first marriage. I feel like our first one was an elopement and we had so many margaritas and it was such a crazy time. And then the second one wasn't our wedding. It was just a 'Hills' wedding and it was for all the people there and it was about everyone else," Montag told TV's "Entertainment Tonight."
"We had just gone through so much crazy stuff personally and through our jobs and everything, so for me this feels like our first real marriage. Like our first restart. We deserve a second chance at our marriage and really having this moment and not being robbed of this."
"Since we had to do the first ceremony, I've been thinking about the second ceremony," Pratt added. "The first one was so fake and not real. It was a movie, it was a script and it didn't feel right. No one in that building wanted us to get married. It was a nightmare."

Heidi Montag :Her Mom miss her
Heidi Montag's mother has lost all contact with the reality TV star, and feels like she's "mourning the loss of a child".
Heidi has been estranged from Darlene Egelhoff since she unveiled her new surgically enhanced body to her mum earlier this year, showing off the 10 cosmetic procedures she had done within a 24-hour period.
But she was driven to tears by Egelhoff's reaction to her dramatic new look, claiming her mum studied her "like a circus freak".
She said, "She was looking at me almost like a zoo animal. It wasn't like I was her daughter anymore. She was looking at me like I was a circus freak.
"I tried to leave it as best as I could, but my heart was breaking."
Now Egelhoff has expressed her own sadness at the estrangement, insisting she is losing sleep over the fractured relationship with her daughter. On the latest episode of The Hills, which airs in America on Tuesday, Egelhoff says, "I haven't slept in months. I had to go get a prescription for sleeping pills just to be able to go to sleep at night to the point that I didn't even know how I would even make it another day.
"I've been mourning the loss of a child and, yeah, it hurts. It hurts more than I thought it could hurt."
The revelation comes weeks after Montag called the cops on her mum when she turned up unannounced at the home the star shared with her husband Spencer Pratt.Montag has since filed for divorce from Pratt."

"The Hills" may be ending for two of its stars Heidi Montag has filed for separation from Spencer Pratt.
She cited irreconcilable differences in a court document submitted Tuesday in Santa Monica, California.
Heidi and Pratt are stars of the MTV series "The Hills" and have been married since last April. The series is in its final season.
Her two-page handwritten filing does not offer any more details on the couple's breakup. An e-mail sent to an MTV spokeswoman seeking comment was not immediately returned.
The filing also doesn't indicate whether heidi intends to file for divorce, which would formally end their marriage.

Heidi Montag : Back in Reality show

Since making the announcement on Friday, Montag’s friend and former The Hills costar, Jennifer Bunney, has been leaking information about a new reality series.
Bunney has said that she and Montag will start filming a new show this summer. It will revolve around the girls’ friendship and relationships. Bunney also stated that she and Montag will be moving into a Malibu beach house this summer.
Montag and Pratt, who got married in 2009, have been media mainstays since their debut on The Hills. The new reality show, still unnamed, will most likely feature Pratt in some episodes. The show is set to start production in July, with a debut sometime this fall.
“Heidi Montag and I are moving into a Malibu beach house this summer. The show is going to focus on our friendship, getting through things with each other like marriage stuff and boyfriend stuff. We’re really excited to do girly things and show people who we really are and that we’re really fun, sweet and loyal girls.”
Reality starlet, Heidi Montag will not be leaving television anytime soon - which is news for guys who like her new plastic look and bad for people who hate seeing pseudo-celebrities continue to make money for doing absolutely nothing.
