Paris Hilton :: Reason for firing a Dancer

A Professional dancer has been sacked for gyrating her lycra-clad booty too close to Paris Hilton while performing at the $20 million Marquee nightclub in Sydney. Tahnee Chapman, 25, has accused a jealous and spiteful Hilton for getting her bumped from her dream job on the first night she began podium dancing at The Star. "I wasn't being provocative. My style is described as sultry. It involves grinding and moving - I was shaking my bum a bit and my costume had tassles on it. "I don't hate her, but I feel that if I can't keep a job because Paris Hilton is jealous of me then what hope do I have of keeping a normal one?" Ms Chapman said she was asked to go up on the podium last Saturday night to hand out glow sticks and dance with three other girls when Paris joined them. "The only reason I danced next to her was because there was no room. I was actually looking out for her because her heel kept slipping on the edge." 

Originally from Rockhampton, Queensland, she was thrilled when she got offered the chance to dance at Marquee by close friend Clare McCann, who runs Elite Podium Dancers. A promotional model for Pantene and Foxtel, she moved to Sydney, setting up home in Doonside. Ms Chapman said she was sent a text message by Ms McCann, saying: 'I'm pretty annoyed you didn't realise how inappropriate this is not to mention giving out your number and getting on the podium with Paris Hilton and reportedly shaking and shaking your ass in front of her." Ms Chapman had a week's grace as a tableaux performer, but was facing the sack as she packed her bags and in tears drove through the night to some relatives on the Gold Coast. " Ms McCann told The Sunday Telegraph: "Tahnee Chapman was not fired, she was on a trial as a sub-contractor for a promotional model and failed to perform her job description and was therefore unsuccessful in obtaining a regular work contract. "She was never texted about nor told that Paris Hilton was upset about her jumping on the podium and this allegation is completely false." A Star casino spokesman said: "We never received a complaint, but we believe the supplier who supplies dancers to the nightclub may have looked into the employment of one of the promotional staff."

Socialite Paris Hilton was born on February 17, 1981 in New York City into the Hilton family and, along with her three younger siblings, is heir-apparent to the vast Hilton hotel and real estate dynasty. Her childhood was spent in palatial dwellings in the priciest neighborhoods on both coasts and featured a brief flirtation with the educational system, including high schooling at the ultra-exclusive Dwight School, from which she dropped out and ultimately earned her high school GED. Living the glitzy socialite life from a relatively early age, attending exclusive parties and being covered by the gossip press, Hilton apparently became hooked on obtaining celebrity status, which was perhaps furthered by the example of her mother, Kathy Hilton, who had a brief acting career herself, mostly on TV.

 Some skeptics have guessed that the endless parade of inane inter-celebrity feuds centering around Hilton are, in fact, publicity stunts, another front in the campaign to keep her exposure level high. It has even been argued that the infamous home video of Hilton with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, in which Hilton performs explicit romantic activities with Rick Salomon, was part of this campaign as well.

 If it was, it worked. For better or for worse, it made Hilton a household name overnight, and was even widely marketed as a video, 1 Night in Paris (2004) (V). Eventually Hilton's efforts paid off and she got some modeling work, the designers presumably relying on her notoriety. She has been an increasing presence on-screen too, in TV commercials, on TV series and in the movies, at first bit parts in movies such as Zoolander (2001), Wonderland (2003), Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat (2003) and guest-star roles on TV shows such as "The O.C." (2003) and "George Lopez" (2002), but later more substantial roles in horror flick House of Wax (2005), the direct-to-DVD Bottoms Up (2006) (V) and her own TV show, the fish-out-of-water reality series "The Simple Life" (2003).
 Hilton also has plans to become a player in the music business, has recorded an album and even started her own music label, Heiress Records, in order to release it. Hilton is widely scorned for what some see as her narcissism, shallow intellect and materialism and for other things besides, but she seems to be aware of the old adage that there's no such thing as bad publicity and it should be evident even to her detractors that she is ambitious and driven to achieve, rather than simply basking in her family's vast fortune, as do so many other socialites. In fact, performing is only part of her many activities and she has dabbled in designing, writing (one hastens to add, with a professional writer on the team), nightclub management and even marketing video games - all of which feature Paris Hilton, front and center.

Paris Hilton ::Puts the Kibosh

Super diva  Paris Hilton's has a perfect record this week when it comes to putting away freakishly obssessive fans.
A day after a wannabe Mr. Paris was sentenced to jail for attacking her and boyfriend Cy Waits on their way to court to testify against an alleged home intruder, the latter creep has just been found guilty of a felony.

Earlier today a Van Nuys jury returned a guilty verdict against Nathan Prada for attempted first-degree burglary.
Prada was arrested last August after breaking into Hilton's Hollywood home brandishing two big knives.
Waits, however, managed to get the jump on Prada and held him at gunpoint until cops arrived.

The highlight of this week's trial was the dramatic testimony of Hilton (derisively referred to as "Princess Paris" by Prada's attorney, Juan Perez) and Waits, as well as evidence presented by LAPD Det. Kevin Romine, who told jurors that Prada confessed his crime, explaining to the detective that the heist would "get [Prada] money to go live on a deserted island" as he knew "she was famous and she was from a rich family."
Prada, 31, will remain behind bars until his June 29 sentencing, when he faces up to three years in prison.
Who knows? He might be able to swap tales of Hilton-induced woe with James Rainford. The man, who accosted Hilton and Waits as they went to testify in the Prada case on Wednesday (and whom Hilton referred to in a tweet as her "other psycho intruder"), was sentenced to 227 days in jail after pleading no contest to misdemeanor battery.
Now that these guys are locked up, maybe she can enjoy her weekend.
