Southern songstress Jessica Simpson is finally pregnant. The 31-year-old says she is enjoying her pregnancy and is letting us know all about her path to motherhood.

The singer-and-actress - who is engaged to former NFL star Eric Johnson - is pregnant with the couple's first child and was thrilled when doctors revealed she is having a daughter.
A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: 'She's telling people it's like winning the lottery, twice. Jessica really wanted to find out the baby's sex, she hates surprises.
She and Eric are both so happy.'
The couple - who are set to wed next month in Hawaii - are currently painting the baby's nursery pink and friends claim they are already considering the names Morgan and Karen.
Jessica - who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey - has made no secret of her desire to become a mother and recently admitted she couldn't wait to have kids with Eric.
She revealed: 'I definitely see myself having a family with Eric, so that's exciting to think about.'
The news of a granddaughter will also please Jessica's mother Tina as she recently revealed she would like more grandchildren to go with two-year-old Bronx, the son of her other daughter Ashlee Simpson and estranged husband Pete Wentz.
She said: 'Obviously I'm looking forward to having more grandkids. Bronx is the love of my life. I don't mind boys or girls, I'll take anything I get. I'm not picky!'
Jessica Simpson is used to her body being the subject of tabloid scrutiny.
According to the latest report, the pop-star-turned-country crooner is fed up with the ample, ahem, assets that helped bring her fame and has opted for breast reduction surgery.
“She’s never loved having a huge chest,” the U.K. tabloid The Sun quoted a friend saying. The report added that Simpson is hoping to slim down before her November wedding to NFL player Eric Johnson.
Simpson’s rep declined to comment.
But a source familiar with the singer’s plans told ABCNews.com that Simpson had no plans of getting a breast reduction and hasn’t even set a wedding date.In the past, Simpson’s own father, Joe Simpson, a former Baptist minister, got into hot water when he famously bragged about his daughter’s bosom.
“Jessica never tries to be sexy. She just is sexy,” he told the New York Post’s PageSix.com in 2004.
“If you put her in a T-shirt or you put her in a bustier, she’s sexy in both. She’s got double Ds!
You can’t cover those suckers up!”
Recently, Simpson appeared to have made peace with her body. After she endured a public hazing when she dared to wear a pair of high-waist jeans at a 2009 concert, showing off a more curvaceous figure, Simpson headlined VH1′s reality series,
The Price of Beauty” in which she traveled the world in search of what people find beautiful and why.
“I have always believed that beauty comes from within, and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect,” Simpson said in a statement to ABCNews.com before the show aired in 2009.
“I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful.”
One person who thinks Simpson is beautiful is Johnson. They began dating last May and got engaged in November.
In keeping with his former 49er colors, Johnson gave Simpson a Neil Lane ruby ring flanked by two diamonds. OK! magazine estimated the cost of the ring at $185,000, “because it’s a ruby and because of its rareness.”
Explaining how well their relationship was working, Simpson told People last year, “This is just normal, thank God. He’s very, very supportive. [I] couldn’t ask for a better man in my life right now.”
Asked if Johnson were the one, she replied: “I never go to that because I already went there, so I’m not gonna jinx my own self. He’s the one for me right now! I’m very happy. I’m in a great place and if right now could last forever, I’d take it.”
Jessica Simpson is the latest celebrity to be shortlisted for the vacancy on American Idol's judging panel and has reportedly had "several meetings" with TV bosses already.
Simpson's arrival on the hit show will follow the departure of the music mogul at the end of the latest series.
According to gossip website TMZ, there is said to be "mutual interest" in the 29-year-old star joining the panel.
A source added to Life and Style magazine: "They like her - she's a good fit - and she likes it. Now it's just a question of how to fit her in." Watch her:

“I’m surprised he is dating her. She is such a big star and he is so reserved.“He is very smart and he is one of the most down-to-earth athletes I know.He is the polar opposite of what you think of when you say ‘player’.
When I met him, he was driving a Prius when other athletes were driving gas-guzzling cars.”
