When Katie Holmes stopped by The Martha Stewart Show for an episode airing next Tuesday, conversation naturally turned to Thanksgiving, a holiday that hasn't been quite the same for Holmes since she filmed 20o3's Pieces Of April. On the set, Holmes recalls, she had to dress a real turkey - "a dead turkey...I had to call my mom and say thank you for all the Thanksgivings and I'm never going to make one."
The actress also discusses her latest film, Jack & Jill, in which she co-stars with Adam Sandler, who plays both male and female characters (a brother and sister). "He really did a good job of transforming into a woman," Holmes tells Stewart. "I had a good time talking to him about what a pain it is to shave your legs - things like that that, you know, men don't understand."
